About The Position

The Program Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating progress of multiple projects within a program, managing dependencies across projects/workstreams, and ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. This role coordinates cross-functional teams, manages budgets and resources, mitigates risks, mentors and coaches Project Managers within their program, and communicates regularly with stakeholders to ensure program success. This role requires strong leadership, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage complex initiatives from conception to completion. This role also includes direct project management responsibilities as needed. The ideal candidate will have technical knowledge and experience with complex workflows. Hybrid position--must be able to work on-site at Sentara Park, Virginia Beach, Virginia several days per week; including training periods.

Requirements

  • High School / GED (Required)
  • 6+ years of experience in program or project management with a proven track record in managing large-scale, complex projects or programs (Required)
  • 8+ years of experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree
  • Demonstrated experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple stakeholder relationships
  • Technical knowledge and experience with complex workflows

  • Healthcare experience
  • Care delivery (ambulatory, hospital, post-acute), health plan, corporate/shared services, and/or technical project management experience
