About The Position

The Program Manager role is focused on engagement, program coordination, and partnership development. The Program Manager will oversee and coordinate community-focused programs, events, and outreach initiatives designed to strengthen relationships between the organization and community partners. This role is responsible for planning educational events, seminars, workshops, and health fairs; managing communications and logistics; developing and maintaining community partnerships; tracking program outcomes; and supporting basic budget management. The position requires collaboration with internal stakeholders and external partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3 years of relevant work experience
  • Intermediate program management capabilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Strong collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

  • Oversees planning and coordinating internal and external Meharry-Vanderbilt program activities which may include education meetings, events, seminars, and workshops.
  • Responsibilities include managing communications, preparing materials, coordinating logistics, and supporting hosting or co-hosting activities.
  • Prepare informational materials and disseminate to appropriate audiences
  • Coordinate facilities and ensure logistics and materials are prepared for events and meetings
  • Provide support for Meharry-Vanderbilt Alliance activities which may include data collection, database management, basic data analysis, and the preparation of charts, graphs, and tables
  • May assist with drafting portions of grant proposals and project documents
  • Track and assess program metrics and impact, maintains data and databases, and manages basic program budgets.
  • Provide consistent communication and outreach to community members
  • Other duties as assigned
