Program Manager
About The Position
Blue Yonder Defense Solutions (BYDS) is looking for a Program Manager who thrives at the intersection of supply chain technology and defense mission delivery. This is a high-visibility, customer-facing role for someone who can build trust fast, keep complex programs on track and turn implementation challenges into wins for the Department of War, The Defense Industrial Base and the Government Agencies we serve. Requirements
- Must be a Citizen of The United States of America
- Must be able to obtain and / or be willing to undergo security clearance processing or demonstrate existing clearance if / as necessary
- Strong Program fundamentals including contract management, time & material-based invoicing, resource allocation & reporting, analytical reporting, data driven decision making
- General understanding of program / customer acquisition and contracting process(es), including development of estimating and pricing artifacts, ideally in a Federal, Government or Defense / DoD Agencies setting
- Familiarity with Subcontractor contracts, their resources and providing financial analysis of them, determine funding strategies and writing SOW modifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication, with the interpersonal skill to build trust quickly across leadership, peers, customers and cross functional teams.
- A high degree of initiative; you take ownership of a task from inception to completion, no hand holding required.
- Proven experience delivering large-scale, complex cloud-based enterprise applications.
- Experience leading enterprise integration projects, including API management platforms, integration architecture and integration methodologies.
- Background as a functional or technical consultant for enterprise supply chain applications.
- Fluency in adapting project management methodologies, particularly Agile, to fit the situation, not the textbook.
- A sharp eye for team strengths and gaps, and the leadership instinct to ask / deploy people where they'll succeed.
Responsibilities
- Direct complex, multi workstream SaaS implementation programs, coordinating project managers, partners and cross functional teams across engineering, product management, QA and interfacing with support operations such as Legal, Finance and HR.
- Identify risks before they become problems, apply your functional and technical expertise to resolve them and escalate early & clearly when leadership needs to weigh in.
- When timelines slip, bring creative, pragmatic solutions to get programs back on track.
- Operate with an "everyone is in sales" mentality, spotting opportunities to deliver additional value for BYDS customers throughout the program lifecycle.
- Guide customers new to the SaaS journey with confidence, pulling in the right people from across BYDS at exactly the right moment.
