About The Position

SMX is seeking a Sr. Program Manager to join a federal pursuit. The Program Manager will lead experts and senior level staff in driving IT transformation and ensuring quality of large-scale portfolio projects. This position is onsite in Camp Springs, Maryland and requires a federal clearance. The Program Manager oversees major segments of complex technology projects under this task order, supporting definition of technical objectives, project goals, data requirements, and appropriate methodologies. The government lead recommends staffing levels, develops and manages project schedules, reviews and coordinates team member progress, and takes corrective actions to ensure successful delivery of multiple project outputs and deliverables. The Program Manager provides coaching and mentoring to senior executive staff, applies knowledge of program governance, organizational culture, agile transformation, and strategic execution, and leverages deep technical expertise and problem-solving skills to adapt to evolving requirements.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant program management experience
  • Active DHS Suitability clearance required
  • Current program management experience within DHS USCIS
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • SAFe Agile methodology proficiency

Responsibilities

  • Proven track record leading large-scale programs with 100+ FTEs.
  • Experience managing programs with budgets exceeding $100M.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional teams.
  • Strong capability in developing and maintaining customer relationships.
