About The Position

Alpha Omega is seeking a qualified Program Manager to support an IT portfolio within a PMO for one of our DHS clients. The Program Manager will be responsible for planning, leading, organizing, and managing multiple agile project teams to achieve a high level of performance and quality for clients. This role involves managing large, complex enterprise-level portfolios, leading diverse teams, and ensuring compliance with corporate and customer standards. The ideal candidate will have experience with DHS IT environments, agile methodologies, and federal contract operations.

Requirements

  • 10 -15 years as a Project/Program Manager
  • Experience collaborating with stakeholders at varied levels
  • Must be able to successfully complete the DHS security and suitability background check
  • Proven ability to use all Microsoft Office tools
  • Excellent customer service, attention to detail
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Must be able to work in a team environment
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly
  • Proven ability to lead teams in an agile environment
  • Able to advise on how to utilize team members appropriately
  • Willingness to roll up sleeves and backfill for team as able.
  • Active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or an IT related field.

Nice To Haves

  • DHS Public Trust Clearance (Secret or above preferred)
  • Recent experience and understanding of DHS and/or ICE IT environment, processes, and agile development methodologies.
  • Working within the DHS Systems Engineering Lifecycle (SELC).
  • Demonstrated lifecycle acquisition Program Management experience in a federal environment.
  • Experience with requirements tools and tracking.
  • Proven track record of applying LitheSpeed-facilitated agile techniques to accelerate delivery and optimize team flow.
  • Prior experience within a Value Management Office (VMO) highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Planning, leading, organizing, and managing multiple agile project teams to achieve a high level of performance and quality for clients.
  • Managing large, complex enterprise-level portfolios of projects consisting of multiple Agile teams and/or requiring integration with other activities outside the scope of the Agile teams.
  • Leading large diverse teams of technical, acquisition, financial, and Project Management staff.
  • Managing teams to ensure full compliance with corporate and customer systems and quality standards.
  • Organizing, directing, and managing all aspects of federal contract operational support functions involving multiple, inter-related project tasks.
  • Assessing issues and developing resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
  • Driving alignment between stakeholder groups and coordinating any cross-functional dependencies.
  • Assessing the scope and characteristics of each application, and assisting in client requirements while managing a team in support of implementing the application.
  • Applying LitheSpeed-facilitated agile techniques to accelerate delivery and optimize team flow.
  • Working within a Value Management Office (VMO).
