Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Social Work, Business Administration, Public Health, Education, Nonprofit Management, Human Services , or a related field
Minimum 3 years of progressively responsible experience in program management, nonprofit or human services, youth programs, or community-based programming
Demonstrated experience supervising staff or leading teams, including coaching, workload management, and accountability for results
Experience managing grant-funded deliverables, performance measures, compliance documentation, and outcome tracking
Strong professional writing skills with experience preparing program, grant, or funder reports
Strong organizational, analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, databases, dashboards, case-management or client-tracking systems, and digital productivity tools
Familiarity with generative and agentic AI tools and their appropriate use in professional workflows

Nice To Haves

Master's degree in Social Work, Public Administration, Business Administration, Public Health, Education, Nonprofit Management, Human Services , or a related field
Experience with grant reporting, program evaluation, quality assurance, compliance monitoring, budget tracking, and audit preparation
Experience participating in hiring, employee performance, staff development, or corrective-action processes
Experience working with youth, families, and underserved or diverse communities
Bilingual or multilingual proficiency, particularly Spanish, Dari, Pashto, Hmong , or another language reflective of the communities GSUL serves

Responsibilities

Lead daily implementation of assigned programs, work plans, timelines, and service-delivery activities
Turn grant requirements and program goals into clear workflows, staff assignments, and measurable outcomes
Exercise sound judgment in addressing operational challenges, prioritizing work, and allocating program resources
Identify opportunities to strengthen services, workflows, and overall program effectiveness
Directly supervise, coach, and support two or more program staff
Set clear expectations for performance, service quality, productivity, and documentation
Manage staff schedules, coverage, training, and day-to-day workflow
Partner with the Program Director and HR on hiring, onboarding, performance management, staff development, and corrective action
Manage grant milestones, deliverables, reporting deadlines, and performance requirements
Prepare narrative reports, outcome summaries, dashboards, and supporting documentation
Maintain organized, accurate, and audit-ready program records
Ensure assigned programs remain aligned with funder and contractual requirements
Monitor participant enrollment, services, referrals, outcomes, and key performance indicators (KPIs)
Use data and dashboards to identify trends, service gaps, and opportunities for improvement
Maintain strong standards for data quality, documentation, and compliance
Turn performance data into actionable strategies that improve program results
Monitor program spending against approved budgets and identify potential variances
Review program purchases, reimbursements, invoices, and supporting documentation
Coordinate staffing, technology, supplies, equipment, and other resources needed for effective program delivery
Build productive relationships with community organizations, service providers, employers, educational partners, participants, and other stakeholders
Represent GSUL programs at community meetings, outreach activities, and partner events
Strengthen referral networks connecting youth and families with GSUL and community resources
