About The Position

Program Coordinator – Boston Kids in Tech (KiT) is seeking an organized, collaborative, and mission-driven Program Coordinator to lead the day-to-day coordination and successful delivery of our educational programs across assigned Boston school and community partner sites. The Program Coordinator serves as a frontline operational leader for Kids in Tech programs. Reporting to the Program Manager, Programs & AmeriCorps, you will supervise and coach AmeriCorps Members, support instructional staff, coordinate program operations, build strong relationships with school partners, and help ensure high-quality STEM programming for students. Kids in Tech provides hands-on STEM education to students in historically underserved communities. Through afterschool programs, school partnerships, family engagement, summer learning, workforce development, and community events, we help young people build the skills and confidence to thrive in the future economy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of experience coordinating youth, education, nonprofit, or community programs
  • Experience supervising staff, volunteers, or AmeriCorps Members
  • Strong organizational, communication, relationship-management, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to educational equity and youth development

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with AmeriCorps, K–12 schools, program evaluation, data collection, or program management systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily program implementation across assigned sites
  • Supervise, coach, and support SPARK AmeriCorps Members
  • Supervise Program Counselors and seasonal instructional staff, when assigned
  • Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for assigned school and community partners
  • Monitor attendance, enrollment, scheduling, staffing, supplies, and program operations
  • Conduct site visits and provide coaching and feedback to instructional staff
  • Maintain accurate program and AmeriCorps documentation and support compliance requirements
  • Collect program data and contribute to reporting and evaluation
  • Develop and improve STEM curriculum and instructional resources as assigned
  • Support Family Tech Nights, field trips, STEM events, and other special programs
