About The Position

In this Program Manager role, the focus will be on workforce planning and utilization strategy for a field-based business. This position is designed for someone stepping out of a senior analyst or junior program role into a more impactful position, with a clear path toward people leadership.

Requirements

  • Experience in workforce planning and utilization strategy.
  • Experience managing the implementation of large and complex programs.
  • Experience providing leadership and support to project teams.
  • Experience acting as a front-line contact on program related activities, issues, and risks.
  • Experience managing risks and issues and taking corrective measurements.
  • Experience interfacing with Business Unit Leaders and finance to develop ROI and other financial measures.
  • Experience partnering with purchasing to develop POs and managing suppliers and vendor relationships.
  • Experience managing stakeholders' communication.
  • Experience defining program governance (controls).
  • Experience planning the overall program and monitoring progress.
  • Experience performing daily program management throughout the program life cycle.
  • Experience managing program budgets and financial performance.
  • Experience coordinating projects and their interdependencies.
  • Experience managing and utilizing resources across projects.
  • Understanding of the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct and physical and digital security practices.

Responsibilities

  • Managing the implementation of large and complex programs.
  • Provides overall leadership and support to one or more project teams.
  • Acts as front-line contact on program related activities, issues, and risks.
  • Manages risks and issues and takes corrective measurements.
  • Interfaces with Business Unit Leaders and finance to develop ROI, and other financial measures.
  • Partners with purchasing to develop POs and manages suppliers and vendor relationships.
  • Manages stakeholders' communication.
  • Defines the program governance (controls).
  • Plans the overall program and monitors the progress and performs daily program management throughout the program life cycle.
  • Manages the programs budget and financial performance.
  • Coordinates the projects and their interdependencies.
  • Manages and utilizes resources across projects.
  • May manage the performance of direct reports by defining accountabilities, establishing performance objectives and goals, providing feedback and guidance and ensuring that all policies are understood and adhered to.
  • Read and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct and follow all physical and digital security practices.
  • Performs other duties as directed.
