Children's Hospital of Michigan is seeking an innovative and experienced healthcare leader to drive excellence and inspire our team towards exceptional patient outcomes and operational success. This role oversees the development, implementation, and evaluation of trauma and burn programs, injury prevention programs, and the safety center. Responsibilities include assuring the organization of services and systems necessary for a multidisciplinary approach to providing care to injured patients. The role assumes responsibility for process and performance improvement activities related to nursing and ancillary personnel providing care to injured patients. The primary areas of responsibility include educational, clinical, research, administrative, and outreach activities of the trauma, burn, and outreach programs. This position manages the financial and budgetary operations for the program, represents the programs at local, regional, and state levels, and provides clinical oversight to nursing personnel in the pediatric surgery service. The Program Manager develops, monitors, and revises functional processes, provides input into the development and revision of organizational structure, approves personnel actions, ensures timely completion of performance appraisals, develops goals, measures and assesses performance, and assists in long-range goal development. The role also monitors activities for and ensures compliance with laws, government regulations, Joint Commission requirements, and DMC policies, and implements external and internal audit recommendations. Ensures hospital departments achieve objectives for diversity of their suppliers.
