About The Position

The Teen Health Program Manager plays a vital leadership role at PMCH, responsible for ensuring the effective execution of mission-aligned programs and services. This position provides operational oversight, supports and empowers staff, and cultivates strong partnerships with community stakeholders and funders to advance the organization’s goals. The Program Manager leads program planning, implementation, and evaluation, while fostering cross-functional collaboration and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree with a concentration in public health, health sciences, or related fields is required
  • Experience and skill with supervision, program development, and group facilitation is required
  • Demonstrated understanding of public health issues is required
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

Nice To Haves

  • Masters Degree is preferred
  • Experience working with teen populations is preferred
  • focus on family planning/reproductive health and/or HIV/AIDS is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the Teen Outreach Program (TOP) and Statewide Parent and Professional Engagement Program (S-PEP)
  • Collaborate with NJDOH and PMCH programs, attend monthly and individual meetings with DOH, and attend any grant-required trainings throughout New Jersey
  • Develop, review, update, and submit subawards, contracts, and MOUs
  • Provide statewide oversight and management of sub-awardee requirements, and ensure grant deliverables and implementation is aligned with grant guidelines
  • Provide direct supervision, coaching, and professional development for two Program Coordinators and one Program Specialist
  • Oversee recruitment and monitoring of program interns
  • Assist with annual grant renewals - implementation updates, strategic planning, budget planning
  • Submit accurate and timely Quarterly reports
  • Cultivate and nurture local and statewide partnerships and collaborations, including, but not limited to, informational presentations, collaboration meetings, etc.
  • Assist in hosting Training of Educators (TOE) trainings
  • Track program expenses and ensure appropriate management of the budget promptly
  • Ensure up-to-date, accurate, and confidential data collection and entry
  • Travel to counties within Northern New Jersey to provide coverage for staff and observe/shadow staff-facilitated activities
  • Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff
  • Oversees the daily workflow of the staff in the assigned program/department
  • Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy
