About The Position
Plans, implements, and evaluates the administrative, operational, supervisory and direct care activities for an assigned cost center. Leads a multi-disciplinary team of professional and support staff in strategic directives and care activities to ensure the assigned department achieves best outcomes for patients, families and staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s in Nursing with commitment to obtain Master's Degree within 3 years of hire.
- Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio
- Current CPR certification
- Three years of pediatric clinical experience or equivalent combination of education/experience required.
Nice To Haves
- MSN, MHA, MBA, preferred.
- Must be willing to obtain and maintain PALS certification as determined by your manager.
Responsibilities
- Develops expense, operational and capital budgets.
- Monitors, evaluates and justifies monthly budget expenditures and revenue.
- Recruits, trains, evaluates, develops, disciplines and/or terminates subordinate staff.
- Assures that performance standards for all staff are met.
- Promotes teamwork by building a team environment and fostering cross functional collaboration.
- Ensures regulatory compliance and emergency response preparedness.
- Maintains safety and quality as priorities, providing direction, prioritization, accountability, enthusiasm and support for safety and quality initiatives.
- Coordinates staff representation on departmental, hospital and community task forces, committees, quality teams and advisory groups.
- Serves as a representative to such groups when appropriate.
