About The Position

Plans, implements, and evaluates the administrative, operational, supervisory and direct care activities for an assigned cost center. Leads a multi-disciplinary team of professional and support staff in strategic directives and care activities to ensure the assigned department achieves best outcomes for patients, families and staff.

Requirements

Bachelor’s in Nursing with commitment to obtain Master's Degree within 3 years of hire.
Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio
Current CPR certification
Three years of pediatric clinical experience or equivalent combination of education/experience required.
Valid Ohio driver’s license and proof of auto insurance is required by hospital policy.
Must pass a motor vehicle background inspection, insurance eligibility, driving qualifications and training set forth by Nationwide Children’s Hospital and must maintain qualification of insurance guidelines.

Nice To Haves

MSN, MHA, MBA, preferred.
Must be willing to obtain and maintain PALS certification as determined by your manager.

Responsibilities

Develops expense, operational and capital budgets.
Monitors, evaluates and justifies monthly budget expenditures and revenue.
Recruits, trains, evaluates, develops, disciplines and/or terminates subordinate staff.
Assures that performance standards for all staff are met.
Promotes teamwork by building a team environment and fostering cross functional collaboration.
Ensures regulatory compliance and emergency response preparedness.
Maintains safety and quality as priorities, providing direction, prioritization, accountability, enthusiasm and support for safety and quality initiatives.
Coordinates staff representation on departmental, hospital and community task forces, committees, quality teams and advisory groups.
Serves as a representative to such groups when appropriate.
