About The Position

Delivers strategic and administrative leadership for the Ophthalmology Residency Program. Coordinates residency program operations, clinical rotations, schedules, and patient care coverage. Ensures compliance with ACGME, GME, institutional, and specialty board requirements. Manages the execution and alignment of resident education, didactics, evaluations, and board certification milestones. Leads resident recruitment, onboarding, credentialing, and administrative support. Monitors resident duty hours, well-being, performance, and progression. Oversees program budgets, records, policies, reports, and administrative systems. Serves as the primary liaison between the residency program, GME Office, department leadership, faculty, and external stakeholders. Coordinates academic events, recruitment activities, graduation, retreats, and presentations. Supports faculty and resident scheduling, licensing, certifications, travel, and professional development. Manages medical student/observer and undergraduate rotations, educational evaluations, and departmental resources.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and four years of experience managing or supporting program operations OR a combination of education and/or related experience to equal 8 years.
