Under general direction from Field Activity management, the Training Program Manager manages all aspects of the overall formal Field Activity Specialist Team (FAST) training program, to include the classroom-based FAST Field Training Academy and the 12-week FAST field training program. Responsible for identifying and addressing FAST Academy training needs and agency safety training needs in collaboration with subject matter experts. Responsible for developing, testing, deploying, and tracking compliance for a variety of initial and recurring security, first aid, counterterrorism, crime prevention, and public and agency safety training programs and curricula. Also identifies and evaluates new training courses/opportunities to increase team performance. While the FAST Training Program Manager manages the overall training program, they also coordinate, collaborate and provide administrative direction to FAST Field Training personnel. Actively tracks weekly, monthly, and other training milestones, as well as candidate progression within the field training program and FAST Academy. Manages FAST training records in concert with the agency Learning Management System (LMS), offering support and maintenance of content, assets, and other resources used for instructional functions. Serves as the point of contact between the Public Safety and the agency Learning & Development team for training programs and module development and management. This position is expected to manage the training needs of over 70 operational personnel working across multiple zone-based locations. Proper management and development of all aspects of FAST training programs is critical for program success.
