About The Position

The Program Manager Physician Relations & Business Development is responsible for developing a deep and sustainable relationship between the Hoag Enterprise and physicians in the community. Serving as a critical link between Hoag Hospital and its affiliates, the Program Manager is responsible for developing new relationships and strengthening existing relationships with physicians as it relates to the Continuum of Care model. The Program Manager markets and promotes Hoag services and programs to physicians, physician medical groups, and other related referral sources in Orange County. This position serves as a liaison to referring physicians and their office staff, educating, and supporting physicians to access the Continuum of Care model working to expand the physician’s knowledge of Organization services, while improving overall satisfaction. The Program Manager is responsible for managing and creating outreach specific to Hoag Institutes, collaborating with physician and Institute leaders, to market services and facilitates meetings and introductions to gain exposure for the program and physicians leading the program. The Program Manager implements and deploys strategic/tactical plan for service lines that integrate with organizational and system wide goals. Contribute innovative ideas and insights into improvements and best practices to generate new business/revenue or improved services for service lines. Gastroenterology and Gastrointestinal Surgery (GI/GI Surgery) - The Program Manager supports outreach and business development efforts related to Gastroenterology and Gastrointestinal Surgery services, including engagement with gastroenterologists, GI surgeons, colorectal surgeons, hepatologists, and primary care/referring physicians. Serves as a liaison to support physician access to referral pathways, endoscopic procedures, GI surgical consults, and multidisciplinary tumor boards. Coordinates physician-to-physician outreach, CME/education events, and referral-source engagement, targeting community physicians both in and out of the Hoag service area. Initiates and facilitates new carve-out contracts with various medical groups along with increasing utilization of existing contracts. Tracks physician engagement and referral pattern data to identify growth opportunities and gaps in network coverage.
