About The Position

Etsy is seeking a Program Manager (IC3), People Strategy to manage key initiatives that enhance Etsy's people programs. This role is part of the People & Workplace team and will involve a variety of projects, from operationalizing policy changes to launching programs and creating communications. The core of the role is to guide teams through ambiguous problems to structured solutions, involving discovery to understand issues, affected parties, past attempts, and potential solutions. Collaboration across multiple teams is essential for successful delivery. This position is within the People Strategy, Systems and Operations team, which is responsible for defining and enabling People & Workplace strategy through systems, operations, and planning. The team is composed of adaptive individuals who execute swiftly from ideation to completion, with strong collaboration and communication skills, and a focus on purposeful, easeful, and equitable experiences. This role reports to the Director, Program Manager.

Requirements

4+ years of program management experience, with a proven track record of managing cross-functional programs in a fast-paced environment.
Experience preferably on a People team (knowledge of key HR functions like HR Systems, Compensation & Benefits, People Analytics, Recruiting, Talent Management, Workplace is a plus).
Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and drive programs to completion with guidance across multiple concurrent projects.
Experience leveraging AI to enhance workflows.
Comfortable working with a variety of teams and stakeholders to align on program goals and timelines.
Familiarity with supporting teams during transitions, maintaining order through ambiguity, and remaining flexible through change.
Strong written and verbal communication skills to keep stakeholders informed and aligned.
Ability to think critically and proactively identify challenges and solutions on a variety of topics within People & Workplace functions.

Responsibilities

Drive projects by supporting the definition of program goals, scope, success metrics, and timelines, and collaborating with various teams to facilitate project and program delivery.
Create roadmaps to help teams visualize direction and their contributions, and document program timelines, scope, and ownership.
Act as a key point of contact for team members and stakeholders to ensure alignment and optimize communication for efficient decision-making.
Manage progress and ensure regular updates are shared to maintain team accountability for deadlines, escalating issues and assisting in removing roadblocks when necessary.
Orchestrate change management by supporting senior leaders in rolling out changes, ensuring proper tracking and communication of milestones, and integrating programs into daily operations.
Facilitate retrospectives by gathering feedback from stakeholders, measuring progress against goals, and identifying areas for improvement.
Facilitate knowledge sharing across the People & Workplace teams to foster a learning culture and ensure the organization leverages data, research, and insights.
