About The Position

This full-time position provides clinical and administrative supervision to Outpatient Therapists delivering individual and group mental health therapy to adults, as well as to Recovery Support Specialists providing peer support services to individuals accessing outpatient therapy. This leader must have clinical expertise in mental health and substance use treatment, and is responsible for overseeing service delivery, monitoring the outpatient therapy waitlist, and driving progress toward timely access to care. Treatment services will take place primarily in an office setting. Heritage Behavioral Health Center is a mission-driven Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic located in Decatur, Illinois, dedicated to improving mental health and substance use care for individuals in a multi-county area. Requirements

  • Master’s degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or family therapy required, plus the ability to function as an LPHA (within 6 months of hire)
  • LCSW or LCPC are the only licenses being considered for this position at this time
  • Ability to work as a team player, including effective collaboration with other leaders and teams
  • Ability to tolerate ambiguity, uncertainty, and change
  • Ability to navigate electronic health records
  • Ability to analyze service volume and waitlist data to inform staffing and scheduling decisions
  • Demonstrated above-average computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • A valid driver’s license, reliable means of transportation, and proof of automobile insurance coverage are required

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical and administrative supervision to Outpatient Therapists delivering individual and group therapy services to adults
  • Provide supervision to Recovery Support Specialists providing peer support services to individuals accessing outpatient therapy
  • Monitor the outpatient therapy waitlist on an ongoing basis, with the performance goal of reducing and maintaining the waitlist at zero individuals awaiting services
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve access to care, including caseload distribution, scheduling efficiency, and intake coordination
  • Conduct regular individual and group supervision, ensuring clinical documentation meets Heritage, CCBHC, and Illinois Rule 132 standards
  • Monitor staff productivity, caseload sizes, and service delivery to ensure compliance with agency and funder requirements
  • Recruit, hire, onboard, and evaluate outpatient therapy and recovery support staff in partnership with HR and the Director of Adult Outpatient Services
  • Provide crisis consultation and support to staff as needed regarding client safety and risk concerns
  • Collaborate with other program directors and leadership to coordinate referrals and continuity of care across Heritage’s continuum of services
  • Prepare and present regular reports on waitlist status, service volume, and program outcomes to executive leadership
  • Perform other duties as assigned
