About The Position

The Program Manager is accountable for the successful delivery of one or more complex, multi‑project programs for Vertiv’s Infrastructure Solutions (IS) business, primarily within large‑scale, mission‑critical data centre construction and integration programs. The role operates at a strategic and governance level, aligning all projects within the program to Vertiv’s internal delivery standards, controls, and governance frameworks, while drawing on recognized PMI principles and good practice as guidance. The Program Manager provides leadership across scope, schedule, cost, quality, risk, procurement, and stakeholder management, ensuring predictable, compliant, and profitable delivery in line with Vertiv business requirements. PMI standards (PMBOK® and Program Management Standard) are used as reference frameworks, while adherence to Vertiv policies, procedures, and management systems remains the primary expectation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or equivalent.
  • PMP certification required; PgMP preferred, or equivalent program‑level delivery experience.
  • Minimum 15+ years experience delivering large‑scale, complex construction or infrastructure programs.
  • Proven experience leading multi‑project programs within mission‑critical / data centre / industrial construction environments.
  • Strong understanding of project, program, financial, and governance standards.
  • Working knowledge of PMI PMBOK® and Program Management Standard used as guiding frameworks.
  • High level of commercial awareness, including contract administration and claims avoidance.
  • Proficiency with program controls and scheduling tools, including Microsoft Project and Vertiv‑approved enterprise systems.
  • Excellent leadership, decision‑making, negotiation, and executive communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain the overall program governance framework in accordance with Vertiv standards and controls, informed by PMI best‑practice guidance.
  • Define program vision, objectives, success criteria, and measurable business outcomes aligned with Vertiv strategic priorities.
  • Provide executive‑level leadership and direction to Project Directors, Project Managers, and functional leads.
  • Act as Vertiv’s senior program authority with customers, joint‑venture partners, and key subcontractors.
  • Develop and maintain the integrated master program plan in line with Vertiv planning, reporting, and approval requirements.
  • Manage interdependencies, critical paths, and sequencing across engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover activities.
  • Ensure Vertiv change management, configuration control, and approval processes are consistently applied across all projects.
  • Own full program P&L accountability, ensuring compliance with Vertiv financial controls, forecasting standards, and approval thresholds.
  • Oversee commercial strategies, contract administration, variation management, and claims mitigation in line with Vertiv commercial governance.
  • Ensure accurate, timely, and transparent financial reporting and audit readiness.
  • Establish and maintain the program risk management framework aligned with Vertiv enterprise risk management requirements, supported by recognized industry methodologies.
  • Ensure compliance with Vertiv quality systems, customer specifications, regulatory obligations, and HSE standards.
  • Sponsor and govern internal reviews, audits, stage‑gate assessments, and lessons‑learned activities.
  • Serve as the primary escalation and decision point for customer, executive, and partner stakeholders.
  • Implement Vertiv‑aligned communication, reporting, and dashboard standards for steering committees and executive reviews.
  • Build long‑term customer relationships that support repeat business and strategic growth.
  • Ensure appropriate resourcing, competence, and succession planning across the program in line with Vertiv workforce planning expectations.
  • Coach and mentor senior project leadership in the application of Vertiv systems and consistent delivery practices.
  • Drive continuous improvement, standardization, and digital enablement across program delivery.
  • Authority to approve program‑level plans, budgets, schedules, and resources within Vertiv delegated authority limits.
  • Accountability for escalation, risk response, and corrective actions impacting multiple projects.
  • Formal escalation to executive leadership where matters exceed delegated authority or business risk tolerance.
  • Demonstrate visible leadership and accountability for HSE performance in line with Vertiv policies.
  • Ensure HSE requirements are integrated into program planning and execution.
  • Promote a zero‑harm culture across all projects within the program.
  • Act with integrity, accountability, and professionalism at all times.
  • Promote collaboration, inclusivity, and continuous improvement.
  • Represent Vertiv in alignment with its values, standards, and business objectives.
