About The Position

As a Program Manager I in Karman Space & Defense’s Space and Launch business, you will support successful execution of customer programs by coordinating project activities, tracking progress, and maintaining program documentation. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to help ensure objectives, timelines, and budgets are met while supporting customer satisfaction and program success throughout the program lifecycle. The role supports planning and execution of projects, schedule and milestone management, team coordination, customer-required schedule maintenance, status monitoring, documentation, budget tracking, and stakeholder communication. No travel is required. The position requires U.S. person status under U.S. export control laws, including U.S. citizens and nationals, lawful permanent residents, refugees, and asylees.

Requirements

Adequate planning and follow-up experience as determined by management.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to effectively interact with customers, staff, and all levels of management.
Demonstrated critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Experience reading and interpreting blueprints.
Self-motivated, with an understanding of the urgency associated with customer performance requirements.
U.S. person status under U.S. export control laws.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, project management, or a related field.
Familiarity with project management software such as Microsoft Project, Trello, or Asana.

Responsibilities

Support planning and execution of projects to align with organizational and customer objectives.
Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules, timelines, and milestones.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to facilitate communication, monitor progress, and address project issues.
Maintain customer-required program schedules and update them as needed.
Monitor project status and escalate concerns to support customer satisfaction and program success.
Maintain program documentation, including status reports, meeting notes, action items, and related records.
Assist in tracking project budgets and support efficient use of financial resources.
Participate in stakeholder meetings to provide updates and gather feedback.
Analyze challenges and support problem-solving efforts to keep projects on track.
Perform additional program support duties as assigned.
