About The Position

Eaton’s IS AER FED division is currently seeking a Program Manager - I, FED (Aerospace) in Middlesex NC or Jackson MI. Relocation assistance provided to eligible candidates. The Program Manager – I, FED (Aerospace) is responsible for the successful execution of NPI/STP Program(s) and/or critical business/problem resolution projects and their budget allocation. This role will lead the Integrated Product Team(s) to drive customer satisfaction, continuous improvement, and life of the program financial performance by managing customer programs, contracts, and business relationships.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • 3 years of project management or product development experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Candidate must be legally authorized to work in United States without company sponsorship now and within the future.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the Profit and Loss of New Product Introduction (NPI) and Standard Transition Projects (STP), and New Product Development NPD Program(s). Responsibility, Authority and Accountability for every project scope delivery and successful execution within, technical, schedule, budget, cost, and quality commitments.
  • Executes Integrated Product Team (IPT) leadership across the Program. Seeks team input to promote rapid resolution to issues. Coaches and provide feedback on performance indicators.
  • Establishes objectives and goals and provides direction to the program and project teams in areas of customer concerns, potential changes in scope and risk assessment. Facilitates the implementation of program management processes at the site, business unit or Division.
  • Manage effective customer communications. Provides overall Program interface with the customer. Improve organization responsiveness to customer requirements. Communication and managing customer expectations and contractual commitments internal to the business.
  • Ensure standard program management processes are utilized and adequate support to the program and project teams by coordinating Program Management reviews, preparing & publishing metrics and reports.
  • Maintain performance metrics for program for earned value, quality, technical performance, and delivery through all of the Eaton phase gates (PROLaunch) NPI/STP.
  • Effectively manages program risks. Leads IPT teams to define project risks and proactively identify risk mitigation actions. Coordinates all risks and requirements of the program into a completely integrated entity. This is accomplished by planning, controlling, and integrating all projects into the programs, and measuring all elements to ensure the requirements and goals are successfully achieved.
  • Manages customer contract, pricing, terms and conditions and contractual flow-down through the organization. Establish and negotiate pricing strategies by system and/or product, market and by customer. Develop contract negotiation strategies. Ensure effective change management processes are utilized.
  • Provides monthly program updates of current situation relating to contractual milestones and problem/high risk areas (e.g., technical, cost, and schedule). Provides updates to the business units as well as divisional, and group levels.
  • Plays a key role in developing new business proposals and executing the overall program plan.
  • Provides overall Program interface with the customer.
  • Coordinates and monitors One Eaton Aerospace program personnel across multiple sites.
