About The Position

Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) is a venture capital firm founded in Silicon Valley in 2009. We back bold entrepreneurs building the future through technology, investing across various stages and sectors including AI, bio + healthcare, consumer, crypto, enterprise, fintech, games, and companies building toward American dynamism. With over $100B under management, a16z is defined by its respect for entrepreneurs and the company-building process. We are seeking a Program Manager to drive execution within the Global Partnerships team. This role involves managing roadshows and LP engagements, coordinating availability, and leading team projects. The ideal candidate will bring structure to complex logistics, ensure stakeholder alignment, and manage commitments and deliverables effectively. We are looking for someone exceptionally organized, proactive, with sound judgment regarding sensitive information, and who thrives in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment. This role requires an in-office presence in the San Francisco Bay Area, with flexibility for travel and time-sensitive needs.

Requirements

  • 5-8+ years in operations, program management, or supporting senior executives in a fast-paced environment (e.g., venture capital, finance, professional services, or high-growth tech), with meaningful exposure to complex logistics.
  • Proven track record managing complex multi-city travel and high-stakes external events from planning through flawless execution.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and obsessive attention to detail; able to manage many moving parts simultaneously without dropping a thread.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the polish and judgment to interface directly with LPs, senior leaders, and external partners.
  • Strong project management ability, with the range to take initiatives from 0 to 1, set timelines, and drive them to completion with minimal oversight.
  • Sound judgment and absolute discretion when handling confidential and sensitive information.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and a high rate of change; able to re-prioritize quickly without compromising quality.
  • Proficiency with modern productivity, scheduling, and travel tools.

Nice To Haves

  • You have a sense of urgency and value the courtesy of professional responsiveness (this is super important as speed is a form of client service).
  • You anticipate needs and solve problems before they become problems; you see around corners.
  • You are able to adapt on the fly and handle unforeseen developments with ease, without compromising attention to detail and quality.
  • You strive to be an enabler who gives the leader and the team maximum leverage; there is no job too big, no job too small.
  • You do what you say you are going to do, when you say you are going to do it.
  • You continually search for new ideas and means of improvement.
  • You have low ego, high empathy, and the capacity to collaborate effectively.
  • Most importantly, you take your work seriously but not yourself too seriously.

Responsibilities

  • Manage roadshows and LP events from planning through execution, including schedules, venues, accommodations, transportation, security, briefing materials, and day-of logistics.
  • Coordinate GP and LP availability across multiple stakeholders, locations, and time zones, proactively resolving conflicts and schedule changes.
  • Drive the LP engagement cadence by maintaining the engagement calendar and CRM, tracking meetings and commitments, and ensuring timely follow-up.
  • Coordinate and host LP experiences, ensuring each visit is polished, welcoming, and consistent with the a16z brand.
  • Drive LP-related deliverables, including fundraising milestones, DDQs, and data-room requests, by managing timelines, coordinating inputs, and guiding materials through review and approval across multiple stakeholders.
  • Drive cross-team projects from kickoff through completion, establishing work plans, timelines, owners, and clear deliverables.
  • Lead working sessions, track decisions and action items, and keep contributors aligned and accountable.
  • Manage recurring team workflows, templates, and trackers, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and consistency.
  • Maintain visibility into team priorities, dependencies, and commitments, surfacing risks and conflicts before they affect execution.
  • Take on additional strategic and operational projects based on the team’s evolving priorities.
