Program Manager, Food Pantry
About The Position
Sentara is seeking a strong Project Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Food Pharmacy/Pantry. This individual will serve as the program's operational lead, coordinating volunteers, managing daily workflows, supporting patient engagement activities, and ensuring the project's overall success and sustainability. The Food Pantry will be supported primarily by volunteers, so the ideal candidate should have experience leading, directing, and overseeing volunteer teams. Responsibilities will include volunteer coordination and training, scheduling support, patient and consumer intake interviews, inventory management, data tracking and reporting, appointment coordination, and maintaining operational processes. The Project Manager will work closely with operational and community partners and, with support from the Director of Operations, will help lead the implementation and long-term success of this initiative.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., social work, public health, nonprofit management) or equivalent work experience is required.
- Experience in outreach programs, food pantry management, or social services is required.
- Must be available to work 8 and 10 hour days.
Nice To Haves
- At least one year of supervisory experience is preferred.
- Experience leading, directing, and overseeing volunteer teams.
