About The Position

Manage aspects of the Electric Grid Interconnection’s Rule 21 program implementation and operations. Ensures program operates effectively and meets customer expectations. Will stand up and maintain an effective program operating review strategy for senior leadership while collaborating with stakeholders throughout the end-to-end process to identify challenges and opportunities for improvement. This position is hybrid, working from your remote office with in-office attendance based on business needs. The assigned work location is flexible, within the service territory.

Masters Degree in job-related discipline or equivalent experience
Advanced knowledge of Program Management including but not limited to PMP, PMI, Agile, Lean Six Sigma, or comparable program management certification preferred.
Strong knowledge of Rule 21, DER interconnections, NEM, energy storage, V2G, VPP, and utility operations.
Experience leading complex, cross-functional programs in a regulatory environment.
Working knowledge of CPUC, FERC, NERC, WECC, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
Exceptional communication, executive presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills at various levels of management.
Ability to influence leaders inside and outside of the department through data analysis, insights and recommendations
Ability to lead large and complex projects working with cross-functional teams
Ability to create compelling business cases based on complex business environments and inputs
Exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Adept at addressing issues with diplomacy and tact
Excellent negotiation skills

Responsibilities

May manage major cross-functional projects and initiatives.
May represent EGI at internal or external meetings by delivering presentations on relevant interconnection topics.
Leads development of program goals and metrics to meet company goals and objectives.
Collaborates across organizations to ensure alignment of goals to support program.
Organize and lead cross-utility project teams to influence utility, regulatory and/or industry decisions.
Develops or provides significant input to PG&E leadership, other utilities with similar programs, industry and/or regulatory decision makers to influence market place and regulatory strategies impacting PG&E and its customers.
Help implement and oversee program performance by tracking and reporting using KPIs, dashboards, and other tools to provide visibility to stakeholders and drive decision-making.
Ensure alignment, resolve conflicts, and drive overall project success.
Proactively identify risks and implement mitigation measures.
Regularly communicate program updates, roadblocks, and achievements to all stakeholders.
Ability to analyze program data, identify performance trends, and adjust plans accordingly.
Applies broad expertise and advanced knowledge to wide-ranging issues.
Integrates industry knowledge related to data into everyday business practices and decision making.
Provides others with guidance around complex industry regulatory and compliance environment and considerations.
Participates in reviews of in-flight jobs and job completions to ensure financial accountability and adherence to organizational goals
Provide direct support for select projects as needed.
Develops new or revises existing scopes of work to ensure compliance standards and deliverables are established.
