Program Manager, DEI

RippleNew York, NY
$116,000 - $130,000Hybrid

About The Position

Ripple's DEI and ERG program is real, established, and valued. We have seven global ERGs with Executive sponsors who are engaged and ERG Leads who are invested. The infrastructure is well built. We're looking for someone who can own it, optimize as we change and grow, ultimately keeping programs healthy, relationships strong—all grounded in what actually matters to Ripplers. This role is the single internal point of contact for diversity, equity, and inclusion at Ripple. You own the day-to-day and the strategic rhythm of the ERG program, coach the ERG Leads, and partner across the business with discretion, good judgment, and genuine care for the communities you serve. This is an individual contributor role with meaningful scope and real relationships at every level of the company.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in DEI, ERG program management, HR, with hands-on ownership of programs rather than just contributing to them
  • Strong facilitation skills, including crafting and delivering sessions for live or virtual sessions and for all levels
  • Experience working with and guiding senior leaders and executive sponsors, including on the nuanced work of allyship
  • The judgment to handle sensitive, identity-related conversations and critical issues with discretion and care
  • Partnering cross-functionally across HR, Legal, Communications, and business teams
  • Data literacy: generating reports, interpreting engagement survey results, and translating findings into clear, leadership-ready insights
  • Strong awareness of the current and evolving global DEI landscape and the instincts to navigate it thoughtfully
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work through nuance, where discretion, and trust matter as much as execution

Responsibilities

  • You are the operational and strategic owner of Ripple's seven global ERGs. You will keep the program running smoothly across global regions, optimize the governance model, manage events and milestones, and ensure each ERG and its leads has what they need to deliver a high-quality experience for its members. You will own impact reporting, budget tracking, and the program rhythm that keeps everything connected and on track.
  • Once a year, you will bring Ripple's global ERG Leads together for an in-person summit. This is yours to own end to end — the agenda, the sessions, the logistics, and the experience. The goal is to send Leads home with clarity, connection, and a roadmap for the year ahead. This is the flagship moment of the ERG program calendar and a meaningful measure of what this role can do.
  • The ERG Leads and Executive Sponsors you work with are volunteers who balance this role with their full-time job responsibilities. They need a thought partner, not a manager, to help them drive their work forward. You will coach Leads through the full arc of their tenure from orientation through strategic ownership and advise Executive Sponsors on how to show up effectively, including the nuanced work of supporting communities they may not be part of. You will help people show up authentically and professionally, and you will handle sensitive conversations with care.
  • DEI work involves recruiting, HRBPs, People Operations, Compensation and Benefits, Internal Events, Communications, Workplace, and Legal. You will be a trusted, low-friction partner across all of them, consistently surfacing what matters, contributing where it's useful, and when to bring others in. You will also manage Ripple's external DEI partnerships, including sponsorships, training platforms, speakers, and more depending on business and community needs.
  • Deeply understanding Ripple’s culture and priorities and applying those insights to the work and your influence within the community
  • Running a global ERG program with consistency, care, and operational excellence
  • Building deep, credible relationships with ERG Leads, Executive Sponsors, and employees
  • Managing the annual calendar including events, impact reports, and budgets
  • Manage ERG Lead transitions through sourcing new leads and onboarding
  • Partnering across the People Team and beyond with discretion and strong judgment
  • Navigating the nuance of DEI work — knowing when to surface concerns, how to handle sensitive information, and how to move thoughtfully in a complex environment
  • Keeping ERG and DEI work meaningful, present, and integrated into our business and culture
  • Working across multiple timezones in order to support meet the needs of our global business
