About The Position

Mandated by Transport Canada, PMG Technologies has operated as a leading automotive testing and research center for over 30 years. We perform comprehensive testing on a wide range of vehicles to help our clients ensure full regulatory compliance. This position is for someone looking for a hands-on role where they can make a real impact, who thrives on challenges and is resourceful. Reporting to the Center’s Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing private testing projects. You will ensure that timelines, budgets, and contractual requirements are met, while also planning resources, managing unforeseen issues, and coordinating activities to ensure the smooth execution of the tests.

Requirements

  • College diploma (DCS) in administration, project management or a related field
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of proven experience in operations coordination or project management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Mandarin
  • Strong communication and interdepartmental coordination skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to anticipate project-related issues and risks and proactively resolve them
  • Ability to manage stress

Nice To Haves

  • Recognized project management certification (e.g., PMP or CAPM)
  • Proficiency in English and French

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the administrative and contractual management of testing-related projects (budgets, purchase orders, schedules, approvals, etc.)
  • Plan and coordinate the availability of material, human, and financial resources while meeting deadlines
  • Identify any project additions (extras) and manage unforeseen issues that may arise during testing (equipment breakdowns, resource shortages, etc.)
  • Ensure effective communication with stakeholders and maintain proper documentation
  • Organize meetings and follow-ups
  • Present project performance reports to management
  • Manage priorities, with safety as the top priority
  • Perform any other related tasks
