About The Position

Kids in the Game is seeking a highly organized and collaborative intern to support its Program Management team. This in-person position in New York City involves assisting with communications, working with schools and families, and supporting the overall functioning of the team. The role requires a passion for working with the youth of NYC and for learning how school and sports programs run internally. Kids in the Game is a Certified B Corporation committed to doing business for good, aiming to inspire kids to embrace new experiences, adopt a healthy lifestyle, and build integrity through sports and creative play.

Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for connecting with people.
  • Resourceful and able to work autonomously.
  • Experience in sports-based youth development.
  • Willingness to both youth and team members.
  • Ability to commute throughout all 5 boroughs of NYC.
  • Excellent time management and attention to detail.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Openness to feedback and a desire for continuous growth.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular development calls to identify and cultivate potential leads.
  • Implement effective strategies for lead generation and follow up with potential clients or partners.
  • Maintain detailed records of all development activities and track progress against targets.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to drive business growth and achieve organizational goals.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to inform strategy adjustments.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align business strategies with overall organizational objectives.
  • Design and administer surveys to assess program effectiveness and gather feedback from participants.
  • Analyze survey data and generate reports to inform program improvements.
  • Implement a monitoring and evaluation framework to track the impact of programs and initiatives.
  • Commit to specific timeframes to be present at program locations, ensuring hands-on involvement in after school programs.
