About The Position

This position supports the Air Force by delivering specialized financial, cost modeling, and acquisition program management support to USAF Program Offices and Project Managers. This role integrates financial planning, programming, budgeting, and execution (PPBE) data with project management frameworks to track program performance, analyze contractor cost data, and maintain financial accountability.

  • Bachelor of Science degree or a master’s degree in accounting or similar field. Experience may be substituted for education with customer approval.
  • 8 - 10 years of DoD/USAF financial management and acquisition cost analysis experience supporting weapon systems or IT acquisitions.
  • Experience with DoD weapon systems, acquisition lifecycle, and sustainment testing as it relates to systems engineering.
  • Ability to prioritize work to balance multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Utilize resources effectively to accomplish work, including ability to work effectively alone and within a group.
  • Personal and organizational interactions exhibit and foster cooperation and teamwork, enhance customer relations, and actively promote rapport with customers.
  • Verbal and written communications are clear, concise, and appropriate for the audience.
  • Advanced knowledge in MS suite of products
  • Must have a minimum of an active U.S. SECRET clearance and be subject to a government security investigation.
  • Driving or renting a car for company business is expected with some frequency. For insurance purposes, a valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain financial data integrity within USAF accounting systems (CCaR, CRIS, GAFS, DEAMS) and prepare executive financial briefings for leadership.
  • Review and analyze contractor Cost Performance Reports (CPR) / Integrated Program Management Reports (IPMR); calculate Earned Value metrics (CPI, SPI, TCPI, EAC/ETC).
  • Generate Purchase Requests (PRs), track Commitments, Obligations, and Expenditures (COE) against OSD benchmark rates, and reconcile accounting variances.
  • Coordinate with external stakeholders (prime contractors, facilities, government entities, etc.) for budgetary alignment.
  • Brief government leadership on test plan methodology and associated test and safety risks.
  • Prepare budget reports summarizing allowances and expenditures of the squadron.
  • Prepare assessments and present findings to stakeholders and programmatic decision makers in the form of briefings and reports.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, procedures, and methodologies.
  • Adhere to all regulations and company policies related to safety, security, and compliance.
