Program Leaders work with an assigned group of students in person at district and school-site locations throughout California. The student-to-staff ratio is contingent upon CDC guidelines. They serve as positive adult role models, coaches, and mentors, helping provide students with a safe, nurturing, and stable environment. The role requires leadership, communication, patience, flexibility, and commitment to supporting students’ growth and development. Program Leaders provide homework assistance, academic enrichment, and physical activities using program-provided curriculum and materials. They work directly with 20–25 students in a classroom setting, support positive behavior, and help maintain a safe and welcoming environment. The role also includes snack preparation and clean-up, site set-up and maintenance, student attendance and sign-in/sign-out procedures, and communication with the Site Program Manager and other relevant parties.
