About The Position

Pilot Company is seeking a Talent Management Intern to join their team in Knoxville, Tennessee, for the summer of 2027. This is a unique opportunity to directly influence selection and talent processes. The intern will be a key player on the Talent Management team, focusing on improving the operational efficiency of selection and assessment processes, including how individuals are evaluated for hiring and development. The contributions will help streamline systems and ensure processes are aligned with the evolving needs of the organization. This is an excellent opportunity for a student eager to apply academic knowledge in a real-world, fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Currently a graduate student in an Industrial-Organizational (I-O) Psychology or related program
  • Deep understanding of advanced data analysis and the ability to interpret the output of data
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent analysis and problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills
  • A driven and reliable individual who completes tasks in a timely fashion and is on time every day
  • An authentic and transparent communication style, with a willingness to speak up and voice differing opinions
  • A welcoming, positive, and respectful attitude toward others

Responsibilities

  • Support initiatives that enhance the efficiency, effectiveness and alignment of selection and assessment processes with organizational needs
  • Assist with building a skills framework that helps with career pathing, selection and assessment
  • Gain exposure to other areas of Talent Management such as performance management and succession planning
  • Support the team with projects that require data analysis, research and critical thinking
