About The Position

The Seminole County Sheriff's Office is accepting applications for a PROGRAM INTERNSHIP, a 6-month temporary position. The role involves performing routine work by assisting and providing security to the Sheriff's Administrative building, monitoring the computerized security system, cameras, and fire alarm systems. When assigned to the information desk, the intern will greet visitors and provide information as appropriate.

Requirements

  • Must be enrolled in a College or State University as a junior, senior, or Master's student.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screening.
  • Maintain a valid Florida Driver's License.
  • Must upload a NOTARIZED Background Investigation Waiver with the application.
  • Must disclose any tattoos and body ornamentation at the time of application.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting and providing security to the Sheriff's Administrative building.
  • Monitoring the computerized security system, cameras, and fire alarm systems.
  • Greeting visitors to appropriate offices for service when assigned to the information desk.
  • Providing information as appropriate to visitors when assigned to the information desk.
