About The Position

Pilot Company is seeking a Dealer Strategy Intern to join our team in Knoxville, Tennessee, for the summer of 2027. This is a unique opportunity to gain valuable insight into our dealer network of approximately 190 locations, helping manage critical operator relationships and drive network expansion across the U.S. and Canada. In this role, you will be an essential member of our Dealer Strategy team, gaining direct exposure to the operations and partnership models that fuel our business growth. Your primary focus will be supporting relationship management with dealer locations, helping develop new value-added services, and driving high-impact strategic growth projects. Working side-by-side with experienced professionals who are dedicated to your growth, you will combine real-world account strategy with impactful business planning—offering a well-rounded foundation for your career.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related business discipline.
  • Strong financial modeling experience and advanced Excel skills are essential.
  • A self-starter with a high level of professional maturity who takes complete ownership of projects and runs with them independently.
  • Strong collaborative skills with the confidence to reach out across teams, ask timely questions, and build effective working relationships with internal partners and field leadership.
  • A desire to learn and an eagerness to contribute to a collaborative environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with AI tools and capabilities is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Drive Strategic Expansion Planning: Lead the development of a comprehensive strategic plan to model and integrate gasoline sales across our existing dealer network, expanding beyond our traditional diesel focus.
  • Enhance Dealer Relationships & Operations: Support day-to-day relationship management and operational success for approximately 190 dealer locations across the U.S. and Canada, helping identify and launch new value-added services.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Merchandising, Procurement, and Marketing teams to execute network growth initiatives—with potential opportunities to travel alongside the team to field locations.
  • Financial Modeling & Market Analysis: Build financial and operational models to evaluate network growth, forecast profitability, and optimize dealer network performance.
  • Learn from Industry Leaders: Work side-by-side with experienced strategy and operations leaders who will provide hands-on mentorship, executive exposure, and real-world project ownership.
