About The Position

Trissential is hiring a Program Financial Controller to join our client's team and play a critical role in shaping the financial governance of a large-scale, multi-year transformation portfolio. This is a highly visible opportunity where you'll influence investment decisions, drive financial discipline, and provide leadership with the insights needed to successfully deliver strategic initiatives. This role offers strategic impact by partnering with executive stakeholders and influencing funding, investment, and program decisions across a major transformation portfolio. It is a high-visibility role serving as the financial authority supporting transformational initiatives with enterprise-wide visibility. The role also provides a leadership opportunity to lead and mentor financial analysts while establishing best practices and governance standards. The work is complex and meaningful, driving budgeting, forecasting, change control, and financial governance across multiple workstreams and vendors. It also offers professional growth by expanding expertise within transformational programs, ERP initiatives, portfolio financial management, and executive reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • 5-7+ years of finance experience, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, financial reporting, and change control.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting large-scale transformation programs, PMOs, TPMOs, or enterprise initiatives.
  • Strong expertise establishing financial governance, controls, and reporting processes across multiple workstreams.
  • Experience managing portfolio budgets, forecasts, and investment tracking.
  • Knowledge of ERP-led transformation programs and multi-vendor delivery environments.
  • Experience supporting month-end close processes and maintaining audit-ready documentation.
  • Strong stakeholder management, executive communication, and influencing skills.
  • Prior experience leading, mentoring, or coaching analysts and finance team members.
  • Advanced proficiency with financial analysis, reporting tools, spreadsheets, and enterprise financial systems.

Nice To Haves

  • CPA, CMA, MBA, or equivalent advanced credential.
  • Experience within regulated industries or asset-intensive organizations.
  • Expertise in benefits realization tracking and value realization reporting.
  • Prior experience supporting enterprise transformation offices (PMO, TPMO, EPMO).
  • Experience working with large ERP implementations and enterprise modernization initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain financial governance frameworks, internal controls, and compliance standards across all program workstreams.
  • Build, manage, and continuously refine integrated portfolio budgets and rolling forecasts.
  • Monitor financial performance and provide actionable insights on risks, opportunities, and key cost drivers.
  • Establish and maintain program financial baselines while managing funding approvals and change control processes.
  • Lead month-end financial activities, reconciliations, reporting cycles, and audit readiness efforts.
  • Deliver executive-level financial reporting, including budget versus actuals, run-rate analysis, contingency management, and benefits realization tracking.
  • Conduct scenario planning and sensitivity analyses to support strategic decision-making around scope, timing, staffing, and sourcing.
  • Manage vendor and contract financial performance in partnership with Procurement and business stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with Corporate Finance and Controllership teams on accounting treatment, capitalization decisions, and financial reporting standards.
  • Coach and mentor a team of financial analysts while ensuring consistency and quality across deliverables.
