About The Position

The Program Financial Analyst is the primary financial analyst for a growing portfolio of task orders under an IDIQ contract. The role manages task order profit and loss, financial analysis, subcontractor financial administration, and recurring reporting. It works closely with Program Management to maintain financial visibility across concurrent task orders and subcontractors, and prepares monthly reporting for internal leadership and the Government customer while supporting joint venture and teaming partner reporting requirements. The position also supports corporate pricing by developing staffing and level-of-effort inputs and executing routine cost models; it does not lead complex pricing efforts. This hybrid position is based in Alexandria, Virginia. Candidates must reside in the DC/MD/VA area and be available for onsite work as required. Minimal travel is expected, at less than 10%. No clearance is required, but the candidate must be a U.S. citizen and able to pass a standard background investigation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, economics, or a related field; additional years of directly related experience may substitute for the degree requirement.
  • Eight or more years of program finance, program control, or financial analysis experience supporting government contracts.
  • Demonstrated experience building and maintaining program or task order profit and loss statements, burn reports, and financial forecasts.
  • Experience supporting multiple concurrent task orders, delivery orders, or projects under a single contract vehicle.
  • Experience developing staffing and level-of-effort models tied to labor categories and contract requirements.
  • Experience analyzing contract modifications and option periods for financial and staffing impact.
  • Experience reconciling subcontractor invoices and tracking subcontractor burn against purchase order value.
  • Working knowledge of government contract types, including CPFF, T&M, and FFP, and differences in cost structure, risk, and reporting, including how prime contract type influences subcontract structure.
  • Understanding of teaming partner work allocation and ability to calculate, track, and maintain partner distributions on multi-party contracts.
  • Ability to develop and execute straightforward cost and level-of-effort models; this position supports rather than leads complex pricing efforts.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including complex formulas, lookups, pivot tables, and multi-tab financial models.
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to build models from incomplete information and explain supporting assumptions.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple task orders and maintain accuracy under recurring deadlines.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial modeling, reporting, and invoice review.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, including managing monthly reporting cycles and ad hoc analysis requests.
  • Process orientation and ability to build repeatable procedures in a growing environment rather than rely on manual workarounds.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with program management, accounting, contracts, and pricing personnel.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion with sensitive financial, contractual, and personnel information.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and able to pass a standard background investigation.
