About The Position

Merakey is seeking a Program Director to join their team in Wilkes Barre, PA. This role involves developing a collaborative work environment, creating a culture of employee engagement and continuous improvement, and providing guidance and motivation to staff. The Program Director will ensure compliance with state, local, federal, and payor requirements, oversee the program's profit and loss, manage daily operations, maintain stakeholder relationships, and oversee recruitment and onboarding processes. The position is within Merakey's Dual Diagnosis Treatment Team (DDTT), a recovery-oriented program supporting individuals with both mental illness and intellectual disabilities through an integrated, community-based model.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in psychology, counseling, or another health and human service-related field required.
  • Licensed in PA or license eligible as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Social Worker (LSW), Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Professional Counselor (LPC), or Behavior Specialist (LBS)
  • Experience in the behavioral health field with: Two years in a mental health setting.
  • Two years working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Possess at least two years of program management experience.

  • Developing and demonstrating a collaborative work environment in support of Merakey’s Core Values.

  • Providing ongoing guidance, mentoring, feedback, and motivation to staff to ensure competent performance while adhering to department and Merakey policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring compliance to state, local, federal, and contract requirements, as well as requirements from payors.
  • Overseeing the profit and loss for the program and managing daily operations.
  • Maintaining productive working relationships and communication with external and internal stakeholders.
  • Overseeing recruitment and new hire onboarding processes.
