About The Position

The Program Director oversees the day-to-day operations of a group home, including program planning, supervision of residential staff, budget management, integration of community-based experiences for youth, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, therapeutic services. This role involves working closely with vulnerable individuals to build on their strengths and contribute to improvements in their lives within a dynamic, supportive, and fast-paced environment. The position offers opportunities for professional development in the Behavioral Healthcare field and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, including nurses, educators, therapists, and psychiatrists. The Program Director will have a chance to directly impact and shape the treatment plans of youth and teach essential life skills to at-risk young people.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • High School Diploma with five years of congregate care experience OR Bachelor’s degree with three years of congregate care experience required.
  • Two years of previous supervisory experience required.
  • Ability to complete 2 weeks orientation training, Monday - Friday 8am - 4pm, in Rutland.

Nice To Haves

  • Degrees in the subject area of psychology, social work, sociology, or related field preferred.
  • MAP Certified (for additional bonus).
