Assistant Program Manager - Trafford
About The Position
Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health is seeking an Assistant Program Manager for their Trafford program in Rutland, MA. This role involves working with children in need, specifically females aged 12-21 with various psychological, emotional, and behavioral disorders (EBD) and/or trauma, including Autism Spectrum Disorder. The position offers opportunities for growth within a human services agency and involves providing therapeutic interventions, collaborating on program vision, assisting with program implementation, and supporting staffing and program management. The role is part of an interactive team including nursing, education, therapists, and psychiatrists, and offers the chance to influence treatment plans and teach life skills to at-risk youth.
Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Driver's license required.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1 year previous experience working with individuals with psychological, emotional and behavioral disorders, complex post-traumatic stress disorder, co-occurring mental health and substance abuse disorders, and/or autism spectrum disorders required.
- Must be willing to obtain MAP Certification within 90 days of hire.
- 2 weeks New Hire Orientation, Monday - Friday, 8AM - 4PM, in Rutland, MA.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- One year of relevant experience in a supervisory role preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide and ensure therapeutic interventions in a compassionate and safe environment.
- Collaborate with the Program Manager/Director to create program vision and a positive working environment.
- Assist with the planning and implementation of programming for individuals.
- Assist with staffing and other aspects of program management as needed.
- Teach at-risk youth valuable life skills.
