Program Director
About The Position
The Montana Hospital Association is seeking a Program Director to coordinate the work of the Montana RHTP Implementation Team (MRIT) as part of Montana’s Rural Health Transformation Program. The Program Director will manage the day-to-day operations of MRIT, coordinating implementation activities across MHA staff, partners, and subcontractors. This position will help keep a complex, multi-year body of work organized and moving forward by managing timelines and deliverables, facilitating communication, monitoring progress, and supporting compliance with program and funding requirements. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Nursing, Business Administration, Health Information Management, Finance, or another healthcare-related field.
- Minimum of seven (7) years of progressively responsible leadership experience in healthcare administration, hospital operations, rural health, healthcare consulting, program management, quality improvement, or a related healthcare field.
- Demonstrated experience administering federal or state-funded healthcare grants, cooperative agreements, or government contracts.
- Strong understanding of Critical Access Hospital (CAH) operations and rural healthcare delivery.
- Experience leading complex healthcare initiatives involving multiple organizations and stakeholders.
- Experience overseeing healthcare data collection, performance measurement, analytics, or program evaluation.
- Experience supervising professional staff.
- Valid Montana driver's license or ability to obtain one.
Nice To Haves
- Experience administering HRSA, CMS, HHS, CDC, or other federally funded healthcare initiatives.
- Experience supporting statewide rural healthcare transformation or quality improvement initiatives.
- Knowledge of healthcare finance, value-based care, and rural reimbursement methodologies.
- Project management certification or equivalent project management experience.
