About The Position

Merakey is seeking a Program Director for its Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania location. The position oversees the program’s daily operations and profit and loss, supports staff performance and development, ensures compliance with applicable requirements, and maintains productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The role also oversees recruitment and onboarding and works to foster a collaborative, empowering environment aligned with Merakey’s Core Values. The starting salary is $62,000 annually, or a salary aligned with experience and licensure, plus mileage reimbursement.

Requirements

Master’s degree in psychology, counseling, or another health and human service-related field.
Pennsylvania licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Social Worker (LSW), Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Professional Counselor (LPC), or Behavior Specialist (LBS).
At least two years of experience in a mental health setting.
At least two years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
At least two years of program management experience.

Responsibilities

Develop and demonstrate a collaborative work environment in support of Merakey’s Core Values.
Create a culture that engages employees and empowers them to suggest and make decisions for continuous improvement.
Provide ongoing guidance, mentoring, feedback, and motivation to staff to support competent performance and adherence to department and Merakey policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance with state, local, and federal requirements, contract requirements, and payor requirements.
Oversee the program’s profit and loss and manage daily operations.
Maintain productive working relationships and communication with external and internal stakeholders.
Oversee recruitment and new-hire onboarding processes.
