About The Position

Lifepoint Rehabilitation, part of Lifepoint Health, is hiring a full-time Program Director/Director of Rehabilitation for the acute rehabilitation program at Kindred Hospital South FL in Hollywood. The role is responsible for the program’s overall operations, including staffing, team supervision and development, and oversight of clinical and administrative functions. The director promotes compliance with applicable professional, client hospital and Lifepoint policies and practices, supports improvements in efficiency and productivity, and maintains a professional presence with patients, families, clients, coworkers and others. Continuing education and professional development are also part of the role. Some weekends may be required.

Requirements

• A track record of successful management experience in a health or human services setting, or an extensive rehabilitation background combined with strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• At minimum, be a graduate of a four-year bachelor's degree program.
• Clinical experience with a degree as a Physical Therapist (PT) or Occupational Therapist (OT).

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with a geriatric disabled population.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the total operations of the acute rehabilitation program.
• Ensure program staffing, team supervision and team development.
• Promote adherence to policies and practices of applicable professional organizations, the client hospital and Lifepoint.
• Supervise the development of improved efficiency and productivity in facility or unit clinical and administrative functions.
• Communicate and demonstrate a professional image and attitude to patients, families, clients, coworkers and others.
• Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.
