About The Position

The Program Director is a key member of the South Florida Yachad Leadership Team. Reporting to the Regional Director, this individual will lead the planning, development, and execution of social, recreational, and community programs that enrich the lives of individuals with disabilities and their families. The Program Director will be responsible for creating meaningful and inclusive experiences while ensuring excellent service for participants, families, volunteers, and staff. This role requires a dynamic leader who is passionate about building community, fostering relationships, and advancing Yachad's mission.

Requirements

  • Strong commitment to the mission of Yachad and a passion for supporting the Jewish individuals with disabilities
  • Well versed in Jewish values and beliefs
  • Experience in program development
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Computer Skills (Microsoft office)
  • Creative and organized
  • Able to work independently

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee 3-4 weeknight programs and 1-2 weekend programs each week
  • Attend and run 3-4 programs weekly
  • Conduct outreach to parents and participants to increase program attendance and growth
  • Maintain the Yachad database for each program, including flyers, attendance, and payments
  • Hire and supervise staff to support and run programs
  • Organize and coordinate transportation for participants when needed
  • Establish and maintain relationships with 4–5 local schools, shuls, and community organizations
  • Provide 3 sensitivity trainings throughout the year
  • Recruit and manage volunteers for programs and events
  • Collaborate with schools and shuls to plan inclusive programming opportunities
  • Plan, coordinate, and attend 4-5 Shabbatons throughout the year
  • Recruit and manage advisors for each Shabbaton
  • Arrange housing accommodations for participants and advisors
  • Coordinate with local shuls and community partners to support the Shabbaton experience
  • Track and input program expenses and receipts
  • Maintain accurate financial records for programs and events
  • Process and track staff payments and reimbursements
  • Maintain programs with consistent participation of current members
  • Recruit 25% new participants/members annually
  • Maintain ongoing relationships with current participants and families
  • Reach out to participants who are not attending regularly and develop strategies to re-engage them
