This role is responsible for the systematic development, implementation, and coordination of specific project teams related to supplies and/or equipment utilized across Texas Health Resources (THR) entities. The Program Director will select appropriate clinical or other staff from around THR to represent specific initiatives, ensuring buy-in and support from peer groups, and developing criteria for fair and balanced outcomes. A key aspect of the role involves the creation and management of data analysis for decision-making processes, developing and monitoring performance measurement tools to manage supply costs, and building spreadsheets and analyses through THR's information and financial systems. The position also entails coordinating and negotiating with numerous supply and equipment vendors for standardization and cost reduction, interacting with GPO (Premier) staff on contract creation and utilization, and working with the OnHand team to ensure contract availability, compliance, and maximized savings. Contract management for all assigned projects, including awareness of critical timelines and due dates for legal agreements, is essential. The role includes designing and managing implementation schedules for product conversions and maintaining contracts for Wholly Owned, Joint Ventures, and Affiliate Facilities. The Program Director will produce and present status reports and financial summaries to all organizational levels and foster effective relationships with system Materials Managers, leadership, physicians, and clinical staff. Additionally, the role supports vendor certification programs, equipment recalls, clinical staff education, and leads various committees and councils. This position also manages up to three buyers dedicated to implant product categories.
