The Supply Chain Advisor serves as a key liaison between Supply Chain and the Office of the General Counsel (OGC), enabling more efficient and effective resolution of contractual and compliance-related matters. This role provides advisory support to ensure appropriate escalation of issues, improve the quality and consistency of submissions to OGC, and reduce unnecessary legal involvement where matters can be resolved within Supply Chain. This role will, within policy and procedural limits, advise purchasing professionals and program managers on subcontract matters such as warranty interpretation, limitation of liability, termination for convenience or default, indemnification, and other subcontract terms and risks. The role will also advise on novations/assignments, software licensing for Commercial and Free and Open-Source Software, basic intellectual property provisions, teaming agreements and other collaborative agreements, proprietary information agreements, and other agreement types. The position requires deep expertise in terms and conditions, strong understanding of Supply Chain processes, and the ability to translate complex contractual concepts into clear, actionable guidance. This role operates in a highly collaborative environment and relies on influence rather than authority to drive alignment across the Segment. This position does not act on behalf of OGC or provide legal approval but works in close partnership with OGC to support timely and well-informed decision-making.
