About The Position

Vertis Therapy is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Program Director to join our rehabilitation team at an assisted living and memory care community in Naples, Florida. Vertis Therapy is launching its therapy program at this community in mid-October, offering an exciting opportunity to be part of the program from the start. You’ll have the opportunity to help establish and grow the therapy program while providing meaningful, resident-centered care. An Occupational Therapist (OT) is preferred for this role; however, qualified PTs, PTAs, and COTAs are also encouraged to apply. The Program Director provides leadership and oversight of the therapy department, including daily operations, staff supervision, scheduling, clinical quality, and coordination with facility leadership. The Program Director works closely with the Regional Manager to ensure Vertis standards, regulatory requirements, and patient-care expectations are met.

Requirements

  • Degree from an accredited institution in an applicable therapy discipline.
  • Valid state license or license eligibility in an applicable therapy discipline.
  • Strong clinical and leadership skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective treatment plans, communicate effectively, and work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to lift and assist clients as needed. Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to therapy.
  • Computer proficiency to document in electronic medical record platform.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and support to the therapy team, including staff supervision and development.
  • Assist with daily department operations, scheduling, productivity, and staffing needs.
  • Coordinate with facility leadership, nursing, and other disciplines to support resident care.
  • Ensure therapy services meet Vertis, facility, and regulatory standards.
  • Evaluate residents' functional abilities. Establish and execute a plan of care based on individual goals to improve resident's independence and quality of life.
  • Complete timely and accurate documentation.
  • Provide appropriate guidance and supervision to Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants.
  • Participate or lead team development meetings.
  • Regularly lead community wide wellness programs and events.
