About The Position

Lasell University seeks an innovative and experienced Program Director to lead CAAHEP accredited certificate programs in Intraoperative Neurophysiological Monitoring (IONM) and Neurodiagnostic Technology (NDT). These programs are designed to meet or maintain CAAHEP accreditation standards and prepare students for professional certification and entry into high demand neurodiagnostic and surgical monitoring careers. The Program Director will provide strategic and academic leadership for both programs, ensuring excellence in online education delivery, accreditation compliance, student success, and clinical partnership development. This role requires a forward-thinking leader with expertise in neurodiagnostic and a strong commitment to scaling the program nationally.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Neurodiagnostic Technology, Health Sciences, or a related field (Master’s required for most accreditation pathways or strongly preferred).
  • Current relevant professional credential(s), such as: R. EEG T. (ABRET) CNIM (ABRET) or other applicable neurodiagnostic/IONM certification(s)
  • Minimum 3–5 years of clinical experience in neurodiagnostics and/or intraoperative monitoring.
  • Minimum 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in online or hybrid formats.
  • Demonstrated experience or strong familiarity with CAAHEP accreditation standards and processes.
  • Experience with clinical supervision or preceptor coordination.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Master’s degree in a related discipline.
  • Prior experience as a Program Director or academic leader in an accredited program.
  • Expertise in curriculum design, online pedagogy, and instructional technology (e.g., LMS platforms).
  • National network of clinical contacts in neurodiagnostic and IONM fields.
  • Familiarity with credentialing pathways (ABRET, CNIM, R. EEG T., CLTM, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all aspects of the IONM and NDT certificate programs.
  • Ensure compliance with CAAHEP accreditation standards and relevant Committees on Accreditation (e.g., CoA-NDT).
  • Oversee preparation of accreditation documentation, self-studies, annual reports, and site visits (virtual or in-person).
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for program growth, quality improvement, and innovation with established student recruitment benchmarks for multiple cohorts per year.
  • Maintain policies and procedures aligned with institutional and accreditor expectations.
  • Maintain professional credentials and stay current in neurodiagnostic and IONM practices.
  • Design, implement, and continuously improve fully online curricula using evidence-based and engaging instructional practices.
  • Ensure alignment with certification requirements (e.g., ABRET, CNIM pathway standards where applicable).
  • Teach courses within both programs, including asynchronous and/or synchronous formats.
  • Integrate simulation technologies, case-based learning, and virtual labs where appropriate.
  • Ensure accessibility and compliance with online learning standards (e.g., ADA, QM best practices).
  • Recruit, onboard, supervise, and evaluate adjunct faculty and clinical instructors.
  • Foster excellence in online teaching and professional development in neurodiagnostics and IONM.
  • Promote collaboration among geographically distributed faculty.
  • Develop and maintain clinical education partnerships nationwide, as needed, to support remote learners.
  • Establish and oversee clinical placement processes for both IONM and NDT students.
  • Ensure clinical affiliates meet accreditation standards and provide high-quality experiential training.
  • Manage affiliation agreements and preceptor qualifications.
  • Advise and mentor students in an online environment, supporting diverse and adult learners.
  • Monitor student progression, clinical competency, and certification readiness.
  • Track and improve key outcomes: retention, completion, credentialing success, and employment.
  • Address student concerns and ensure a supportive, inclusive online learning culture.
  • Collect, analyze, and report program data to meet CAAHEP outcomes requirements.
  • Lead continuous quality improvement initiatives based on outcomes data.
  • Maintain accurate records for accreditation and institutional reporting.
  • Manage program scheduling, enrollment coordination, and resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with admissions and marketing to promote program visibility and recruitment.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation, partnerships, and new program development in IONM and neurodiagnostic.
