About The Position

Jefferson Einstein Philadelphia Hospital (JEPH) invites applications for a full-time (4 day) position as Program Director of the Division of Orthodontics. Responsibilities include teaching (didactic and clinic supervision of residents), administrative duties, research, and service, all at the graduate level. The successful candidate will provide strong leadership, direct the residency training program, and participate in joint education programs with Jefferson's residency programs in General Dentistry, Endodontics, and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. The Division's program teaches contemporary orthodontics using current technologies in a contemporary out-patient multi-disciplinary practice, emphasizing team care with strong affiliations with Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Orofacial Pain and TMD, and Sleep and Pulmonology services, as well as Lancaster Cleft Palate Clinic and Cooper Medical Center Southern NJ Cleft and Craniofacial Team. The Program Director will oversee the education program and the growth of orthodontic services. JEPH is one of the largest not-for-profit teaching hospitals in metropolitan Philadelphia, PA, and is part of Jefferson Health, a large not-for-profit healthcare organization.

Requirements

  • DDS/DMD (or equivalent) degree
  • Clinical experience
  • Evidence of effective teaching
  • Graduation from a CODA-accredited advanced education program in Orthodontics
  • Diplomate status in the American Board of Orthodontics
  • Eligibility for an unrestricted Pennsylvania dental license
  • Experience in teaching and mentoring residents
  • Experience in collaborations with other departments and dental disciplines
