Damar is currently seeking a Program Director to join our highly skilled ABA Program. The Program Director is responsible for the direct oversight of all clinical services for assigned ABA clinic. In this role, the Program Director will supervise the Clinic Manager and Program Managers (BCBA) for our Ameriplex Clinic location. ABA Autism Services by Damar combines the long-term experience and expertise of Damar with cutting-edge Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) approaches to offer a solution to families facing the challenges of raising a child with autism. While many nonprofit and for-profit businesses offer ABA services, only ABA Autism Services by Damar can back its services with the experience and expertise of an organization that has been serving people with developmental challenges and autism for more than 50 years. Damar’s ABA program begins with an evaluation that includes a full assessment of each child. Observation time, parent interviews, and the appropriate assessment tools are used to create an individualized treatment plan in order to meet the unique needs of your child with autism. Requirements

  • Master’s Degree and BCBA or Doctorate Degree with BCBA-D
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience leading teams
  • Previous experience in Autism Services required
  • Minimum age of 18 per licensure requirements
  • Valid Indiana driver’s license and driving record that meets eligibility requirements of Damar’s insurance carrier (for all positions requiring driving)
  • Be clear of any felony convictions, substantiated charges of neglect or other disqualifying criminal convictions
  • Successfully complete a pre-employment physical
  • Favorably meet and maintain Damar’s background screening

Responsibilities

  • Effectively uses time management to manage caseload and work assignments
  • Acts as the Responsible Coordinator for all RBTs in their assigned clinics and ensures Program Managers meet 5% or more hours of supervision to RBTs on assigned team
  • Takes ownership of their assigned location and staff and provides training, hosts meetings, and offers regular feedback
  • Responsible for the initial ABA assessment and intake process for each potential client at their assigned location which includes recommending dosage of services, collecting documentation, caregiver interviews, etc.
  • Ensures fair distribution and assignment of clients for each Program Manager and communicates with Director of Family Engagement on a need for additional clients
  • May be required to work before or after hours
  • Manages all employee functions of Program Managers and Clinic Manager, including recruitment, on the job training, coaching, and mentoring, performance appraisals, and performance management functions
  • Works with the Clinic Manager to coordinate the hiring of new employees to maintain appropriate staffing levels
  • Supervises Program Manager productivity levels and the implementation of ABA program management/protocol modification to children in a clinic, home, school, and/or community setting
  • Makes decisions regarding each client’s learner profile which gives Program Managers guidance on the intensity of services, appropriate evidence-based strategies, assessments utilized, data collection methods selected, and other relevant clinical decisions
  • Participates in administrative reviews, peer to peer calls, in person or remote hearings, requests for additional information, and other activities required by payors to gain authorization for ABA services for a client
  • Reviews reauthorization reports, behavior intervention plans, safety plans, and treatment protocols and ensures sound clinical decisions are made
  • Makes ethical decisions on the dosage, continuation, and/or discharge from ABA services
  • Provides a positive, supportive work environment for all
  • Remains familiar with the agency’s Strategic Plan
  • Participates as a member of Damar’s Leadership Team Meeting and other company wide initiatives
  • Reports on Performance Quality Improvement measures and other relevant data
