Join the Pre-professional Advising Office team as the Program Coordinator! The Program Coordinator is an essential member of the Pre-professional Advising Office and provides crucial administrative support and management for an office that supports thousands of pre-health and pre-law students and alumni from all undergraduate schools and colleges at BU. The Program Coordinator completes a broad range of administrative tasks and provides support to all Pre-professional Advising staff to support the office's goal of providing comprehensive advising services for pre-health and pre-law Assist students, alumni, parents, faculty, and staff who contact or visit the office by responding to inquiries, scheduling appointments, directing visitors to resources in the office, and seeking assistance from advisors as needed.

Requirements

  • Provides crucial administrative support and management.
  • Completes a broad range of administrative tasks.
  • Provides support to all Pre-professional Advising staff.
  • High degree of confidentiality in maintaining records.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee a team of student employees, including the hiring process.
  • Maintain students' electronic and paper records with a high degree of confidentiality.
  • Maintain the resources and reference materials available in the office and online.
  • Support advisors with professional school application related materials and processes.
  • Respond to inquiries from students, alumni, parents, faculty, and staff.
  • Schedule appointments.
  • Direct visitors to resources in the office.
  • Seek assistance from advisors as needed.
