About The Position

LifeSTEPS is seeking a Program Coordinator for the Antelope, CA area. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and coordinating activities and programs within assigned affordable housing complexes, under the direction of the Regional Director of Social Services. The Program Coordinator works closely with the Director of Social Services to provide high-quality services to residents. The core duty involves empowering children from low-income and underserved families by providing after-school education and resources, ensuring a safe place for homework assistance and academic enrichment, and encouraging children to develop into resilient adults.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Two (2) years of experience in a similar environment providing services.
  • Valid California Driving License.
  • Reliable, insured transportation required.
  • Proficiency in basic computer systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or related field preferred.
  • Experience in after-school programs serving youth ages 5 through 17.
  • Small and large-group management.
  • Activity planning.

  • Organization.
