Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required.
Experience providing employment services for people with autism spectrum disorder.
Ability to work with others and network.
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with excellent attention to detail.
Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently.
Ability to work independently.
Good judgment and problem solving skills.
Nice To Haves
One (1) year of experience working in mental health or social work preferred.
Responsibilities
Engages patients and establishes trusting, collaborative relationships directed toward the goal of competitive employment in community settings.
Assists in job search activities directed toward positions that are individualized to the interests and uniqueness of the individuals.
Offers support to clients in maintaining employment.
Establishes and maintains career profiles for each new client with information gathered from the client, health practitioners, and with permission, family members, teachers or past employers. Updates the profile with each new job and education experience.
Assists in developing an individualized employment/education plan with each client and with input from other members of the client’s team. Records changes in employment or education status on a quarterly basis.
