About The Position

The primary responsibility of this position is to plan, coordinate and administer assigned programs and day-to-day activities related to the Divinity School, Pluralism, Free Inquiry and Belonging Initiative, and Transformative Ideas. The position is funded by a grant through December 31, 2028.

Requirements

Work requires analytical, communications and organizational skills generally acquired through completion of a bachelor's degree program.
Work requires one year of experience in program administration or involving academic, instructional or counseling activities to acquire skills necessary to plan, coordinate and implement a variety of program activities and events OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Nice To Haves

MA/PhD strongly preferred
Familiarity with academic humanities programming, especially interdisciplinary activities

Responsibilities

Provide on-site support and coordination at events, including student reading groups, lectures, and informal talks (across both Trinity College and Duke Divinity School calendars).
Manage marketing and outreach to participants and stakeholders as well as academic content for wider audiences to amplify visibility of programs.
Assist with a new summer residential seminar for underprivileged high school students.
Assist with planning and executing university-wide Initiative on Pluralism, Free Inquiry, and Belonging. Responsible to plan, promote, and support student-facing meetings, lectures, and events. Coordinate visiting speakers, promote public events in the local community and more widely through communications support.
Assistance with co-curricular activities related to courses and leading small-group discussion sections for lecture courses.
Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
